You should find out if you can buy the internal clutch packs and gears first before ordering a whole carrier unit.

I'm not sure if you can make a Ford open diff a limited slip or not.... They look very similer besides the clutches.

I don't think you can, but I'm not sure///

Won't hurt to ask, or maybe another member has some helpful info on a conversion if possible.

Save you $$$

Seems like ive read that you can but maybe someone will post and confirm one way or the other. I thought if you had a open diff there was nothing there?

No.

The planetary or side gears are still there, just no clutch discs and S clip to create the resistance of a LS.

Start a new thread asking the question 8.8 open diff to LS.

You do have an 8.8 I think... With a v6 you should.
