I've got a '99 4.6 5-speed 4x4 with 3.55 axle ratios and 90,000 miles. I've been contemplating for years to put 4.10 (or 4.11) gears in it but cost has been my only hangup. I think I'm finally going to pony up and do it. Should wake this log up a little bit.

Do the front gears have to be the "reverse" ring and pinion? That's what my research has yielded so far but I wanted to confirm that.

Rear gears are easy to find and I'm going to have a local shop install them.

Any recommendations on where to buy the gears (specifically the reverse ones)? I've found some good "normal cut" Ford Racing sets on eBay and Amazon for less than $150.

Yes the front is reverse cut ring and pinon.

When I get axle stuff I usually go look at randys ring and pinon
