2002 gearing help...

Ok, Im sure it's a beaten subject here but I want to get a few things straight before I get into this.

I have a 2002 F150, crew cab "sport" 4x4. What are my factory gears?

The truck is on 35" tires, i'm assuming 4.56's would be my best bet. Right?

What axles does my truck have? (what would I order the gear for)

The axle code on the door will tell you what ratio you have now. Or you can crawl under and read the tag on the rear diff housing.

You need to tell what you have such as engine size. Makes a difference.

Rear is a 8.8 with a 4.6 and a 9.75 with a 5.4. Front is 8.8 reverse cut.

Truck is a 4.6. I do mostly country back road driving. Some highway, but only short trips. I haul a few bikes, and a boat and a few race cars every once in a while.

Regardless of what your current ratio is and based on what your driving habits are, I'd go with the 4.56's. Especially with those 35" tires.
