TCS in 04-08

Just had a question for someone who might be able to explain this to me. How does the Traction Control System work? Is it helpful at all? Is it in the differential? Just wondered, so i could understand, thanks!

it all depends on the vehicle some vehicles cut fuel to the engine so the engine doesnt make any power and therefore cant continue spinning the wheels others use braking power and applys brakes to the wheel thats spinning

There is also a good possibility your vehicle does not have it. My 04 and o7 did not, and I am not sure it was even availabl3e before 07. Unless you have the TCS button on your dash, you do not have it. In the 07-08, the main thing it did was limit engine rpm.

Oh I knew mine didn't have it. I just wondered what exactly it did. I didn't know until a few months back that F150's came in AWD..granted I've only seen Harley and Limited that way but still.
