i posted this in the 1997-2003 section but i didnt get any replies,

im having a problem with my 97 5 speed f150 when i pull the 4wd lever the light on the gauge cluster gets lit even when i activate the low range the low range light gets lit but the 4x4 dosent really work i got this problem 2 weeks ago before that it was working fine

Check for vacuum leak on vacuum line going to front axle. Especially around battery. The battery corrosion eats through those plastic lines pretty quick
