For those working on the above,,,,,just yesterday I saw a document from Ford released last month, about a change to the large pinion cup and cone. I have both sets on my desk, and they are not to be mixed, old no. and new no's. plus the cup is about .050 thou wider on the "new' one. pls see this link ....i think its a ford internal document showing rejected parts. you sure there wasn't a redesign for the newest trucks?

the 9.75 has been changed a few times since it first appeared. they originally used 8.8" axle bearings and seals.
