Old thread, new topic. violent shaking

I replaced my front diff sometime last year. It had a small shimmy when i drive it It is now a violent shake.
I have reblanced my tires and that has not helped. The shaking started after i replaced the front diff. Around April of last yr i went offroading on Cleghorn riged and 8 days later the Front dif shattered. I think the thread is still here.
Either way, i had it replaced. The inside was destroyed and the gearing was toast. I ended up replacing the gearing.

The shop that helped me with this is no longer in business, so i am pretty much screwed.

It shakes at random, however ever never after 70mph. It does it on streets, merging onto the highway, coming out of a corner. it does it as the truck picks up speed, but goes away after 65 mph.

The front dif locks when engaged, however i have started to hear some clacking when turning.

Any ideas would be great.

By the way here is the link to my old thread:

it probley doesnt have anything to do with the internals like gears and carrier since they dont spin when the 4x4s not engaged but i would check your cvs for tears and stuff like that

Narrowed it down the shaking to the following:

Shaking between 45-55 mph

I don't even think I can get 4hi past 45 correct?

Any ideas?

Probably not the cause but sometimes sticking calipers and cause severe shaking in the front. I used to car pool with a guy who had this problem. This was on a rear drive car.
