1997 4.6 After longtube headers, CAI, and 35's with stock 3.55 gears.

Everything the same, except Motive 4.88 gears.

Bet the 4:88s feel way better. Thats alot of gear for those tires. Id say your speedo is prolly ten miles fast or so.

Yep, I just ran it through a calculator and when it says 75, you are doing 64. This is assuming your stock tires were 30's.

Looks like she scoots a lot better with those 4.88's. I'm really looking forward to my 4.30 swap.

Yeah they do, its amazing how it much it woke the truck up! I figured that lil non pi 220hp 4six needed the extra gear to satisfy my urge to go fast. lol

Hey thanks for running that thru a calculator for me. I try to judge it with traffic but i don't think it was too reliable since i thought i was about 15-20mph off. haha thats right, the stock size was 255/70r16, think thats a 30. did you figure that with me going to 35's from 30's then the gears?

Exactly. Best thing to do is confirm with a GPS.
