Regearing Need Answers

I am regearing soon - hopefully next week - and I need some q's answered. Im going with motive gear 4.56s. I am currently running 315s, when these wear out I will get 35x1250 MTs, so nothing bigger than that really... correct me if I am wrong: I need 4.56 Ford 9.75 for the rear, 4.56 reverse cut Ford 8.8 for the front, and what's this I heard about an install kit?! That sounds like a do it yourself thing, but Im not doing this myself, I will take it to a shop. Im thinking about 600 to install it all... I have 3.73s right now and get anywhere from 12.5 - 14 (at the best) mpgs... is it even worth it to regear? or should I put my money elsewhere?...

also I have a bodylift. Those of you who have it know how it messes up the angle of the air intake - especially aftermarket ones, like my airaid. Im looking into a tbs to fix the angle (my airaid has a hard plastic head to it and no rubber adjustable piece like the OEM one). I don't expect to get hardly anything performance wise from the tbs, does it really matter which brand I get?

Well in the summer ill be doing the same gear setup as you, and you are correct about your gear selection.

as far as the spacer, I would get one that doesn't make that annoying whistle sound!

the shop will either have you buy an install kit or charge you for it but either way it is necessary.

I just buy the install kit when I order the gears. We just put 4:88's in my truck over the last 2 days. You definetly want to change the seals and bearings.

ok... cool. Thanks guys! The install kit comes with gears apparently.... so I guess that price isn't too bad. I got the AFE throttle body in two days ago. Installed it that night. After I got the throttle body off I realized it didn't have the gasket... I found it the yesterday in the box, under a cardboad sheet.... I ran it yesterday w/o the gasket... it whistled a lot. Annoyed the crap out of me... I reinstalled it last night. Put the gasket in, and it sounds much better... Im gonna be getting my gears here shortly, if all is well...
