Oil leaks

Hey everyone,

Had a new ring and pinion replaced because it was making noise still after they tried to fix it three times. Got the noise fixed, but everytime they work on it the pinion seal ends up leaking.. I have no idea why this is. I would probably like to do it myself if anyone knows anywhere that there is any pictures I could look at.

Also, my seals around my slip yoke keep going bad about every 5k miles. I have the pro comp spacer so it isn't even pulled out that bad. the seals have been replaced, and Ford even replaced the entire housing and installed a new yoke. Just noticed it is leaking again. Why is this happening??

do you have a lifted truck? i know a guy that has the same problem, because the lift/big A$$ tires. i believe they are causing to much stress on the T case and rear differential.

Oh yes, sorry I did forget to mention that.

The truck has a 4 inch rancho lift, 35's, and 4.56 gears in it. I am pretty sure the pinion seal is just the shops fault. it seems to happen every time they look at it, but i dont understand the transfer case leak

Check to make sure the breather tubes aren't obstructed (the vents). when the oil gets hot it needs to vent, if the vents are clogged then it puts pressure on the seals. Just a thought!
