My mom has a 2005 Merc Mariner Premier with a 3.0 and has a problem with the tcc solenoid. I changed her iac when she told me what it was doing without looking at it. Then realized it wasnt the problem. She took it to the dealer and they read the codes. It wasnt the code that couldnt physically unlock the converter after three attempts, but the codes for dieing because the converter wasnt unlocked. I apologize but I cant find where i wrote the codes down.

The dealership quoted her $1700 to repair as they were going to drop the tranny but everything I could find points to the tcc in the valve body and not the converter. I cant find a part number for the tcc solenoid and dont want to tear into the valve body if it i dont have too. Basically i need more experienced advice on the tccs. Truck has 144k on it and no tranny fluid change.
