4.56 in 8.8
stick w/ precision, yukon, or ford racing gears. front is 8.8 ford IFS reverse cut, rear is 8.8 standard rotation. get master install kits, especially so on an older truck that is probably due for new bearings, etc.
I think randys ring and pinion is good place to start. In my 2004 f150 I have a 8.8 in the front and a 9.75 in the rear so you need to check and make sure that is corect. I just went from 3.55s to 4.56 and love the change.
thats a genaric calculator it is close but not right. reason i say is with 3.73s and 35s it comes up with 1600 rpms and i am 1805 so if i tweek the trans ratio to get it the right rpm 4.56 and 35s should be 2206 at 70. i just want to verify this. i am still not sold on the 4.56 the power would be nice but not the 200 extra rpms. dam we need a 4.30 rev gear set for the 8.8
