Look on your sticker on the door and tell us what the rear code is.

Also you can enter your Vin at the ford services website and get the original sticker from when the truck was first sold to see what other options it came with. Just add your vin number after the = sign

Did you add your vin number to the end of the link?

Example:

How do you know that's what the OP has?

The axle code on the door sticker tells you ratio and whether it's open or LS. I believe the 4.6 has a 8.8, the 5.4 has a 9.75, you can confirm by crawling under and reading the tag on the axle itself. The VIN doesn't tell you anything. The front axle in a 4wd is 8.8 reverse cut.

If you have a 4.6L you should have an 8.8" Ford rear end.

If you have a 5.4L you will either have a 9.75" Ford/Sterling with 3.55 or 3.73 gears, or a 10.25" Ford/Sterling with 4.10 gears if you have the HD 7-lug package.

The front axle is an IFS reverse rotation 8.8" 28 spline in the same gear ratio as your rear axle.

Axle code in the door jam, search for the Ford axle chart on google and find your code. Its two digits, a letter & a number means limited slip differential ( LSD ) and two numbers means open rear.

For example, my code is B6 - 3.73 LSD.

Damn I wish that worked.. I'm only getting this,

"We are temporarily unable to retrieve an online window sticker for this vehicle. Please try again later.
If the problem persists, please contact the help desk for this web site.

Look at the door jam sticker and tell us the axle code and we can tell you what ratio it is and if it is a traction lok.

like some others have said, its a 9.75" rear cause you have the 5.4. my rear has a h9 code which has the 3.55 lsd. check the door jam for the axle code and go from there.

How common is the 3.73 Limited Slip axle on a 2006 2WD?

I have the original sticker/paper that was on the window and that is what is says. This thread is making me want to be sure that its correct. Guess its time to go look at the door sticker!
