I have crawled under my truck, but I cant find a tag on the transfer case. It is stamped as being a Borg Warner, but no model number. I have searched the net and the forums, but I haven't got a clear answer. One site said that it is a Borg Warner 4406, but another site said that case was only used up to 01'... I am trying to get info about the case because I think that the seal between the transfer case and the transmission has gone bad and needs to be replaced. I recently changed the xfer case fluid but found it over filled. I got the truck new, and the xfer case has never been serviced.

If that is in fact the problem - it should be warranty, just drop it off at the dealer. It's only the problem if the case continues to overfill and the tranny level goes down.
