Angry 4x4 noise question

i have this noise when im driving in 2wd. it kind of sounds like there is some little piece of metal hitting the rotor. its kind of a weeweewee noise but really loud. it will make this noise all the time when i hit the gas but goes away at coast. then if i hit the gas and put it into 4wd it stops instantly and wont come back untill 2wd. i know its not the brakes ive changed them twice since the noise. help!!

thanks

Is your truck a new model 2004+? If so there is a TSB that applies. http://www.ford-trucks.com/tsb/fullt...hp?tsb=06-8-15

Sometimes it's an easy fix with replacing a damaged vacuum line. Look around in the wheel well to see if you can find the vac lines that go to the Integrated Wheel Ends. Verify their condition before you take it to the dealer.
