BTW dont use the crappy gasket they give you in the kit to seal up the cover
What should I use? Annd are all master install kits 200 bucks? Thats more than the ring and pinion itself.

how many miles do you have on your truck? if your truck is like mine with low miles you might not need a master install it....your might be able to reuse some things... I've got 4.88's with my 24's and 37's and they helped my city gas mileage so much but killed my highway mileage. im exactly 13/13

If you pay a shop to do it you should not need the kit at all, they should have pleanty of parts lying around

www.accuautoparts.com

I put some red electrical tape across my 4x4 switch till I got the front end done.

Another solution would be to unplug the wire harness behind the switch till your done.

And don't forget to change the fluid after you break in the gears.

I don't remember for sure. I think you have to drive it for about 20min to get it warmed up, let it cool, repeat. Then be a little easy on them for 500 mi.

I kinda gave mine hell right after I got them in and drove it around a bit.
