Long trip

I bought a used 2000 f-150 5.4L with 150000 miles. I want to drive it home to texas on vacation about 1300 miles one way. Can anyone recommend any preventive maint. that i can do to it, or anything to look for now before i make the trip? Right now it runs great idles fine there is nothing noticebly wrong with it.

The obvious things, assuming you don't know what has been done as previous maintenance, is oil and filter, fuel filter, coolent flush, and decide if you want to do a tranny flush. If you have a limited slip rear end, you might have the fluid chnged in it. The previous owner may have done some of these, just depends.
