Power Steering Whine when Suspension Compresses
Hello All,
I have a 2002 King Ranch with about 106K miles on it. My problem has to do with a whine that occurs only when I drive over a speed hump or drive across a drainage ditch and the front suspension compresses. The noise begins immediately and the steering feels restricted, after a few seconds the noise goes away and the steering goes back to normal. I've searched throughout the site for any threads related to power steering issues and none seem to relate to my problem. I am completely confused as the steering feels perfectly fine all other times. It's only when the suspension is compressed. How can the suspension affect the power steering? Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
