I have a 2005 f-150 4x4. I noticed there are a lot of 4x4 issues on these trucks but here is my ? One day i put my truck into 4 and ever since when it is in 2wd i hear a winding noise coming from the front tires but when i put it in 4wd it stops. Now its getting worse i put it in 4wd and now it feels like its slipping in and out of 4wd like it clunks in and out.If i put it in 4wd while im driving u wait about ten seconds and u can hear the hubs pop in. It wont stay in 4. Anyone have any ideas what it could be so i can fix without buying a hundred parts ???????
