Question Runs faster with new pinion seal

I just got my leaking rear pinion seal replaced the other day. The truck is faster now, acceleration, and holding speed up hills.
My question why would a leaking pinion seal cause the truck to be slower?
The only two things I can figure are.
1) the thick rear end grease is causing friction.
2)the shaft might have been binding up in the seal.

Anyone have any ideas?
Mind you I am not complaining that it is running better.

Thanks

Cool

I think it might just be happier; like when you wash it or change the oil.

Look under the hood on the panel above the radiator for a small label. Did the dealer reprogram your computer?

T ELLENBURGER

No they did not reflash my computer. I wish they would.
