aftermarket or oem regear?

want to install 4.10 gears in my fx4. are there any advantages to having the dealer install oem gears over aftermarkets? will oem's be as tough as aftermarkets?

Find a place that will install brand name gears for a good price and give you some kind of warranty.

Aftermarket may be better, but OEM is good stuff.

US Gear or Ford Motorsport! Stay away from Motive gears!

Yukons, Precisions, motives set up properly are all fine, I have never had any of them come back. Precisions are the best aftermarket gear available and are better than a ford gear in my opinion. I would not not bother taking it to a dealer to have it regeared they do not have the tools or the expierence to rebuild a rearend properly. And who can blame them how many rearends would they do, they primarly work on brand new vehicles. Give your location and I can probably recomend someone in your area to install.
