Truck is making weird noise kinda sounds like a locust .....it will do it then it will stop repeatedly while driving ....any ideas? Sorry bout spelling and punc as I did this through my blackberry as I am camping at the moment

 

does the sound come from the front and does it sound almost like a winch when it is being pulled out of a free spool?

 

Not enough info by far. What year? 4x4 or 4x2? From front or rear, right or left?

 

well i will give you the info for the problem i am having when i am driving i will start to hear almost like a card on a bike spoke sound i know it is coming from the front and it will switch from the driver to passanger side then out of no where it will just stop
