Okay, I recently purchased a new 2008 F-150 FX4 and I wanna get some work done. I'm getting a 6" lift with 35" tires, so I figure a 4.56 gear swap would be in order. I'm planning on purchasing Yukon gears, and noticed that they have 3 install kits to choose from.

Mini install kit, Install kit and Master install kit.

Question is, being that it's a brand new truck which kit is necessary? My gear mechanic said he was going to get the mini kit, so I'm assuming that's good enough?

BTW - front is 8.8 reverse and rear is 9.75 right?

 

Yes. If its brand new you can re-use the bearings.
