Axle questions

Whats the biggest tire you could run on a 8.8 axle without having to worry about snapping anything offroad. I baby it offroad and wont be pulling anyone out of the mud. Mainly just worried about the axle bearings. Id need it to last about 6 months before needing to be replaced. Wanna run 38's but i dont know.

yah i had a friend weld it for me, its not pretty but it gets the job done. Its partially so thick because we did about 2-3" at a time b.c we didnt want to fry the fluid or the bearings....

also hard to weld in the tight confines of my lowered truck
