limited slip differential swap

I have a 2007 f150 with an open diff....no LS. I would like to put LS on my truck and wanted to know what would be the easiest thing to do. I have a friend that recently had a front end accident and wrote off his truck. His truck is a 2007 f150 4x4. My quesion is can i simply take off his complete rear end and put it on my truck? Do all 4x4 f150's have limited slip diffs? Thanks, BART

The Limited slip differential is an option. You have to order it. Do not assume that the 4x4 has a limited slip. Check it first.
