Help! how do I know which to get

Im looking at upgrading my gears from 3.55 to 4.10 or 4.56. What do I need to look for when buying the new ring and pinions? Also how do I find out what kind of rear end I have? (8.8" or 9")

x2 there should be a metal tag attached to the rear! \

to figure out what gears you want depend on what size tires you are gonna run and what you are doing with your truck!

For Example: with 35" tires and 4.56's gears you will be darn near factory ration.... now with the same 35's and 4.88 gears you will be getting more power down to the tires... the down side to that is that your rpms will be higher when driving faster on the HWY.. just a thought
