Thanx. We usually just lease our vehicles and buy/sell for a profit/down payment on the next vehicle. I fell in love with this one. Only has 33k miles on it.

Can I ask what the price is for that swap? I have a 98 f150 with a 4.6L and i would really like to do the same. I'm very nervous about the cost though.

I was told that a front and rear swap for a swap from stock 3.55 to a 4.10 would be $1000-1100 and if I wanted to go to a 4.56 or 4.88 then figure $1350. This is parts and labor. I recommend you buy a full synthetic geaar lube for them to use and an additive. I use Amsoil and a quart will run $12-16 depending on the weight you use.

That's pretty steep right now. My wife and I just had a baby and I think upgrades to the truck are on the bottom of her list. It's definitely on mine though.

Would it be an option to do the rear first, then do the front at another time. I know I would have to rule out 4 wheel until everything is equal. It might become a summer time project if that is an option.

Yeah it's steep. We're still struggling with hospital/doctor bills from last feb. I'm selling the last of our old business for extra money. Congrats on the new baby. We don't have kids but have helped raise our nephews and their kids. Yes you can do the rear first as long as you don't engage the 4wd.
