shifter for 4x4

shifter for 4x4

yesterday morning I try to put my 4x4 on because of the snow,and when I was trying to move the shifter on my floor,the shifter came free like something came off under the truck.I can pul the shifter up and down it is totally free.the truck is a f-150 1997 with a 4.2 motor.need help please

The lever is held to the shift linkage by a 10mm bolt. Get under the truck and have a look see. You lost the bolt and the lever pulled out.

the bolt was broken in the bracket,i drilled the bracket to take out the bolt,and put a another bolt.
