sporadic vibration

I did'nt really know where to put this thread so I hope this will do. Little background info, I have 73000 on my 04 fx4. As I'm driving along I can feel this vibration that seems to be in my front end kind of grow in intensity until its like i have a flat tire and I'm driving over the grooves on the side of the highway that wake you up when you hit them. If I pull over and inspect the tires only to find they all seem to be perfectly fine, and then take off again it goes away only to return a little later, maybe an hour later or a couple days or weeks. Could it be the shocks that I havn't changed yet or maybe something in my steering? Anyone else have this problem?

I had a similar problem with my 99. I finally determined the casue was my emergency brake dragging slightly. I would inadveratntly bump the emergency brake pedal, on occasion, with my foot when I entered the cab and this caused a similar prblem to the one that you described.

yeah but if it were that I would expect it to do it right when I take off, not 20 minutes into my trip, but I guess I could be hitting it while in motion too. I'll pay attention to it for now on.
