New Gears? Lifted 2WD

'97 2WD with 7.5" fabtech lift went from stock 275 70's to 35" tires. do i need new gears in the rear, will stock do or will they eventually have trouble?

How does it perform now? If you are satisfied, no NEED to regear.

thanks, nothing at all wrong now.fells like it rides a little rough low in a high gear, sorta feels like it's bouncing a little when ur rpm's are real low in a high gear.on a highmay as soon as it shifts into fourth or fith and the rpm's drop down to bout 1,000 to 1,500 wich is where i like it,so it will save gas, i can't run it there cause of that bouncing like crap, i have to run it at or a little over 2,000. people just told me that i might need some, just was checking. if i did get 4:11 or 4:56 would anything change?this is no major problem at all. will it become one?is it wearing the gears down there?

what gears are you running now? With 35's I wouldn't say it's necessary, but I'd recommend it.

whatever that is? i know it's 3 something. i saw a guide thing in a manuel and it said to change em when bigger tires it had recommended gear sizes for 35's for everyday driving, highway driving, and towing.the lowest for everyday driving was 4:11 and highway was 4:56? if i did regear, what kind of differences would i notice?

The difference you will notice has a lot to do with your current ratio. Look at your door jamb for your axle code and then search on this site to reference which configuration your truck has. I went from my stock 3.55LS (axle code H9) to 4.56LS and it was a noticeable, good change for what I was wanting for my truck.

you more than likely have 3.55 or 3.73 w/ or w/o a limited slip stock. If you upgrade your gears you'd basically gain more low end power but lose top end speed.

i have 35's with stock gears...it was recommended to me to run 4.88 gears, but i have a v6 so it might be different with a v8...more like 4.56

Ummm...no. You won't lose top-end speed.

You'll be turning slightly higher rpm at any given speed, but these trucks are geared so tall that you'll never run out of rpm no matter what gears you put in, so there's no way you'll limit your top speed.

I couldn't turn redline in top gear and I had a supercharger.
