Bone, I think that would be a great start. Everyone on the site is really behind Troyer tunes, I would give them a call. When I get some extra cash together I will probably look into them myself. I have had good luck with my Flashpaq but it seems Troyer has the best custom tunes available. Good luck in your quest for better performance.

Did you mention your tire size?
With 4.56s and 35's you should be "close" to the stock end ratio. You will probably be slightly higher, (number, not actual ratio,) but once you factor in the width of the tires and wind resistance, etc. you'll be right about at what gearing you were rolling stock.
It makes sense in my head, so if I didn't word that I apologize.
Regearing a truck with stock tires can make your mileage worse, depending how much you change it - sometimes it's better.

Gears will help you around town tremendously, you pick up speed quicker taking less pedal to get moving.
You will be running slightly higher rpms than usual so your highway mpgs will suffer slightly. 1-2 mpg loss running 4.10 over 3.55 at 65-70
With our heavier trucks, everyone should be running at least 3.73s, moving to 4.10, 4.56, etc depending on tire size. Most trucks came stock with 3.55s
I plan on running 4.30s in the near future with a 29.5" tall tire I'm not really worried about gas though.
I have a feeling I might have a few traction problems, considering I'm running 24 Lbs. Centerline 20's w/ 275/45 all around
24 lbs. a piece, the stock 17's weighed 49 a piece, just the rims. That with less rubber, I lost about 100 lbs. over stock. You can feel it too, ALOT easier to break them loose.
