Start by Jacking up the front so the wheels are off the ground. With the truck in park and the engine running engage 4hi. Get under the truck and try turning the front drive shaft. It should not turn. If it does your t-case is not engaged in 4Hi.
The most likely cause is the shift motor. If the front driveshaft doesn't turn the T-case is fine. You will need to check the front axle engagement for problems.
Let me know what is up. I can go farther in the diagnosis but it is 1:08 A.M. so I am off to ZZZZZZZZZZZ.
