slow acceleration

hey, i have an 03 boss that had 3:55 gears and i went to 4:10. now for some reason from a stop when i floor it, it seems like it accelerates slow, it wont even brake torque anymore, unlike when i had my stock gears.. now i did have a custom diablo tune put in.. could the problem be too much fuel/ not enough fuel..please help id really appreciate it...thanks guys. im still using the same 17in tires that came on the truck

Well, I guarantee you that a higher gear ratio will give you more torque than a lower one. (if everything else is unchanged) Your problem must lie elsewhere. Perhaps your gears were not properly set up and thus are creating friction? Seems unlikely as you would have a lot of heat build up if that were the case but you can still check. (Jack up the back of your truck, put it in nuetral and see if the pinion and axles spin freely.) Or perhaps you need to have your shift points adjusted? Or even you need a tune up?
