Differential gear help!!!!!!!

Unhappy Differential gear help!!!!!!!

Durning the process of replacing the rear axel bearings the two small pinion gear fell out of the differential. I can not figure out how to get them back in. I am in need of HELP!!!!

I'm assuming you're talking about the spider gears. You posted this yesterday, did you figure it out?

It is not possible for the 2 spider gears to "fall out" unless the small lock bolt and shaft have been pulled out to allow this to happen. I am assuming that you first removed the bolt and small shaft. If the 2 spider gears are what you are referring to then what you need to do is to line them up by inserting them into the opening in the carrier. Once you get them started, hold one wheel still and turn the other one. This will turn them into position. It may help to put the wheels back on to accomplish this. Make sure that you also have the shims on the back side of the spider gears prior to putting them back into the carrier.

I assume that's what he did, too. He said he was replacing axle bearings so he would have had to pull the crosspin.

I'm not sure which rear end you have - or vehicle for that matter. Here's the 9.75 rear gear set up...
