8.8 azle spline count
Can anyone tell me what axles/carrier I have?
1995 F150 4x4 5.8 auto
I'm guessing and hoping it would have 31 splines. Is there a possibility it could have either one? Of course I'm just going to pull the cover over the weekend and just count, but I need the truck until then and was just wondering.
I'm going to buy a used posi from a Mustang. I have my pick of either axle size. Is the Mustang posi strong enough? Is it the same as a truck posi?
Any help appreciated.

All FS truck 8.8s are 31-spline with a 7/8" pinion shaft. Mustangs usually have 28 splines & a 3/4" pinion shaft, so make sure you check both.
"Posi" is a GM diff. Ford's LSD is called "TracLok".
