Smile Who Ray Who Ray!!!! 9.75 Re-bearing

All seems to have gone real good . Had to go through 2 more crush sleaves. Got it together gave her a test drive and it was like a new vehicle. Before there was always a wine and a slight clunk at coast. Now all I hera is some wind and some tire noise. Went 15 miles round trip up to 85 mph and nothing. Got home felt the axle houseing it was warm not scalding hot to the touch. I checked the backlash when I opened up the case it was .015, gears seemed real loose. Finally got everything back together checked run out .002, backlash was .010.
I would like to thank Quintin, luckycrash13, and built54 for some e-mails and addition help.
Give me some ideas of what could go wrong in the near future. Noises, sounds etc.

Was the whining noise the main reason for swapping the bearing?

Glad to hear the noise is gone along with the clunk

Hope that fixes my probs as well.

Keep us posted as you put more miles on it please.

Others have told me that after about 10,000 miles the dreaded whine sometimes comes back especially if you tow a bunch.

Almost 2000 miles and still going good. About 425 miles after I had to put a new pinion seal back in. The aftermarket seal did not seal between the pumkin and the seal.
