whenever it is raining outside or the roads are wet, i hear a noise coming from the bed of my truck. I only hear it whenever i turn. the only 2 things i have come up with that it could be is 1.tailgate or 2. spare tire. does anyone else have an idea of what might be making this sound?
the best description of the sound i can give is-it sounds like something hitting up against the side of the truck

 

If it sounds like a slight clunk......i'm sure it's the same noise mine makes but ONLY when it's wet

I have yet to check the spare tire but i've search on this forum and have noticed some people curing the problem by greasing the splines on the yoke of the d/s.

I have to get my rear worked on for the "whine" so i hope to be able to alleviate this clunk problem at the same time

 

Ya 56chev guy, I know, I have it too, but not all the time. Like mentioned, only wet conditions bring it on usually. Maybe weird flex in the suspension, who knows. Can't be too serious otherwise it would do it all the time.
