WTF? A Ford Trac-loc (aka "posi") has spider gears like an open diff, but it also has clutches. You maybe looking for a Spool?

You have a 3.55 Limited Slip Differential (LSD) and there are spider gears in there. The limited slip is different from a locker. There are little clutch disks on the outside of the carrier that make your differential only slip a little! Thus the limited slip.

Also if you changed the gear oil, you may (probably will) experience some chatter when you accelerate, especially around a corner. You'll need to add a tube or two of friction modifier to your diff to smooth things out. --DIY

I added the ford friction modifier! but have replaced spider gears in a dodge b4 and it looked just like it. My old chevy had all the clutches in so i no what im looking at LOL! But it is weird! only thing i can think of is that it was on the other side where i couldnt see.
