Clutch Packs

Anybody know how much the clutch packs would be for a 9.75" 3.73 LSD? Is there anything else that needs to be replaced that will not come with the clutches?

Had my clutch packs replaced this summer.
Gone metal to metal(no fiber plate left) at 80000kms.Pretty disapointed about it.
Total bill came to almost $800 Canadian.
All parts needed came in a kit,the actual cost of the kit was only $210,lubicrant and additive cost $35 but the labor was the killer.....almost $500.
Hope this helps.

This is for a buddy's 250 SD. Bosro, why did it cost that much? I bought a whole new Ford limited slip carrier for my truck for $350. The shops around here charge around $250 labor to rebuild a differential. If he's going to be looking at $700, I'll just tell him to buy a brand new carrier, which comes with everything (spider gears, side gears, clutches, etc...) already assembled.

Also, that is your stock rearend, right? Not aftermarket?

Borso, Did the dealership said there was something wrong or just regular wear?!!
Was it Churping when acelerating while turning at low speed before rebuilt?

During the winter never noticed anything cause the windows were always up.
Spring came and then you'd here almost a grinding/squealing noise on slow corners, and after it had been driven for a while.
Initially I thought U joints but they were fine.
The Ford shop had no real explanation for this happening, actually said it was very unusual for this to happen with so little miles on the truck.
Like I said before there was pretty much no fibre left!!!
