97 F150 front end binding cold weather

I am experiencing a new winter problem this weekend, when I try to drive my truck forward when first starting out it acts like the front axle does when engaging the 4 wheel drive on dry pavement.it grabs and acts like the calipers are stuck etc.I can only get it motivated by using the 4x4 as the street is ice/snow covered. After moving about 100 yards or so it lets go and functions normally. It is a balmy minus 10 degrees or so but never has it been a problem in cold weather before.same old grease in the hubs etc.and the brakes are not dragging and heating up at all.Any ideas out there ? Thanks

Frozen wheel bearing? Pull the wheel before you move it in the morning and check it out.
