It's been a while so I can't remember exactly...is Ben the father or the son?

I met both, and I think the father mentioned that he was sorta handing things over to his son...who had just bought a new E55 AMG when I was there.

I run over 2,100 rpm at 70 mph with 32" tires and 4.10 gears and haven't noticed much of a difference in gas mileage...I drive mainly in the city, but about 1/3 of the time on the interstate...

One thing is for sure...these gears pep up your truck...

GerRod - did your truck come with 4.10s or did you have them put in?

I have a question, I just got a 07 4wd, if I wanted to go to 4.10 gears, is there a change required up front for when I am in 4wd??
Maybe a dumb question but I am not that familiar with gears in 4wd's. My 81 had the inline 6 and was geared plenty low already...this 4.6 needs a little help down low so after reading the posts here I am going to seriously consider this if its not too expensive. Also, if I had this done should I wait until after the warranty is up to do it? I dont want to trash the warranty..I can wait if need be.

Thanks

yeah, you have to do both axles, and from what I have gathered on price, it'll probably cost you about $1000.

got stock 3:55 gonna put on 33" meets, what gears would be good for best performance (not worried about gas mpg or $$$$) heavy foot off starts and for passing cars, dont normally go over or stay over 70 mph

At the very least 4.10s. A 4.56 will add some muscle to the mix.
