need to replace drive shaft - have lotz of ???

Hello. Some punk stole my entire drive shaft! Came into our drive in middle of night and swiped the whole thang. He's been caught, but must of ditched the shaft. Anyway, looks like I need to get a complete drive shaft setup. I went to our local AutoZone but the employees were so confused I thought better to research this before I buy.

My truck is: Ford F-150, 1998, 4WD, manual tran. and 4.6 V8. I believe the shaft is a 2-piece. Does anyone know exactly what I need to buy??? Do the drive shafts come in a complete set (front/rear). Also, I'll need the bolts. I think they are 12 mm. Any idea what length and thread specs?

What and where is my best option to purchase a replacement drive shaft & bolts? (maybe online source?) Our local ford dealer was wanting over $500. I'm really short of cash right now and this theft couldn't of come at a worst time. THNX for any help

Most auto insurance would pay for this under comp/theft. You could call around to junk yards.

Recycling yards should be full of them.
