Angry Noise in rear-end? Help!!!

I need some help! I just finished putting on some 3" Bullseye Wheel Spindles on my 99 F-150 4X2 and a 3" Block and U-Bolt Kit in the rear end. After installing it I know have a noise coming from the rear end. When I come to a stop and when I let off the brake and hit the gas I hear a thump in the rear end. I don't know what it is and I hope someone can give some advise!

Set your parking brake and give some torque to the axle in both forward and reverse. Have someone look at the axle wind-up to see if the axle is rocking on the springs.

Watch for movement at the front spring anchor bolts to ensure that those bolts are not moving.

Watch for movement of the driveshaft to see if it is not binding while trying to move fore and aft.

If you cannot find anything right away, drive it for some time and look for any telltale 'fretting' -- the motion of two parts -- which shows up over time as a rusty powder at the point of the fretting. Most people disregard that telltale rusty stuff as just rust and not evidence of movement.

If all else fails, add a sub-woofer to your sound system and just boogie on...
