Power Braking??

Well the other day I was at a stop sign and my friend was coming the other way in a 2006 F150 and he just starts smoking the tires by power braking it and I tried to do it and it doesnt work. Like it just wont break loose, there has to be something about the 01 because his sisters truck doesnt do it either. Why is that? Is there anything you can do about it, to get rid of it or something.

it could be the gearing, i dont know what kind of gearing comes in the newer trucks. do you have bigger tires? this would take more power to roll the tires over, where i work we have a 99 f-250 5.4l it is a complete dog, wont even break the tires loose in the rain, but another guy i work with has a 2000 f-150 that will smoke the tires off, im pretty sure it has alot to do with gearing.

My truck is an 01 and stock it had a little trouble doing it.Go to troyer and buy an air force one intake and a superchips 1715($590). or even better the xcal 2. You will be able to light them up no prob. Trust me cause this was my story. With my 35"s it will even do it on occasion with the right pavement and right tire temperature. But with bad axle wrap also.

budsstuff, beatifull truck. With a 6" lift, did you have to do anything to the axles, or drive shafts? I was thinking about a 4" lift with 33's for my 97. And are you happy with the fabtech kit?
Thanks,

Speed, how are you power braking it? The best way to do it is to plant your foot on the brake, and gun it. Let the revs get up to about 2000 - 2500, and start to let out the brake. It should start to spin them.
