any body know?

I dont have a problem but i have been reading and i was just wondering if the axles used in the 97 up f150's are the same exact axle as pre-97 ? Cuz i know they dont have the twin i beam after 96, but did ford just keep using the same 8.8? If not what are the changes?

Not as far as I know..... I believe the spring mounts were re-located, and they offered the 9.75 on some models. Also, they went to disc brakes on them somewhere around 2000, I believe.

Randy's Ring and Pinion should be able to give you the gory details.... 1-800-330-2089

Thats true. but i do know ford experimented with the broncos from 93 to 96 kind of a pre expedtion thing going on with rear disc brakes and 4 wheel abs. i never figured out why they did that in broncos not trucks. Mybe they had some load cabability issues or something.

Thanks for your input.
