There's a REAL Green Acres near Bakersfield, California, too. Been there several times. You might have a hard time convincing people around here that the television Green Acres isn't real, they were all rather taken with Arnold.

Fordman,
>>>>You got me curious when you said that the heavy duty towing package only comes with the automatic tranny in the light duties. I ordered my 4.6 5 speed with the package and it was indicated on the factory order and the window sticker. I was going to be ticked off if I paid for something I didn't get. I got a friend of mine who works at a local Ford dealer to check my truck for me to make sure it had all it was supposed to on that package. My 5 speed does have the towing package...HD radiator, HD alternator, HD battery, HD shocks, seven pin electrical connector and of course class three hitch. I was about to blow a fuse if I had found out I had payed $400.00 for an option I didn't get.

>>>>Pressure coming down, heartrate slowing, feeling much better now......LOL

I was referring to the heavier suspensions, not the trailer towing package. For instance, the '98 options sheet indicates this:
  • code 203 Payload Package #3-2441 LB, requires 996 4.6 liter Engine, axle ratio X19 or XH9 and Auto Transmission 44U
  • code 203 Payload Package #3-2189 LB (requires 99l or 99Z 5.4 liter Engine and axle ratio X19 or XH9)

>>>>Ok, got ya. What made me misunderstand was the comment about the radiator. I thought you meant the manual couldn't have the HD radiator.

My options sheet indicates code 535, Trailer Towing Group-Class III as available on both standard shift and automatic models and includes code 63H Elctrical/cooling Package-Heavy Duty. HOWEVER, the code 63H is listed as being available by itself (w/o towing package) only on an automatic. WTF? This is a '98 options sheet.

LOL, that makes a lot of sense now doesn't it. Maybe it's a typo on the options list because what would be the difference in being able to get it with the tow package and not being able to get it without it. Go figure...
