rear end swap

i found a rear end out of a 95 f150 w/ 4.56 gears in it. it is an 8.8 also. i want to know if i can put it in a 2000 f150. i know that i will have to redo the shock mounts but is there anything else that i need to redo?

The rims (wheels) from your 2000 f150 will not fit the axles, as the spread is different.
I do not know much about the 2000 but if it is like the 2001, then the whole backing plate brake assembly is different.
The tube ends are shaped different and will not interchange backing plate brake assemblies.
One has disc brakes and one has drums with different cable brake (parking) hardware.

The only good way to do it is swap the Ring and Pinion and reshim (there are three shims), this is the way I swapped mine.

Any good rear end place should be able to swap them out for you for about $100.00 labor plus parts (bearings, shims and seals).

Just pull the new Ring and Pinion and take it and its shims with you, mark left and right Diff shims, not a hard job.

Or take the whole donor rear end with you.
