I want to do a gear swap on my 99 f150 4x4 "OFF ROAD". It came stock with a limited slip 8.8" rear with 3.55's. And an 8.8" in the front.As everyone knows, the 4.6 is pretty weak off the line so I want to change to 4.10's. Will the abs exciter rings need to be changed? What brand names are recommended? I was considering either FRT/SVO or Precision. I strongly believe that Ford parts go in Ford trucks but after talking to a rep at the Ford Motorsport tech line there is some confusion as to wheather the front end in the 99 is the same as the 97-98.Has anyone put Ford 4.10's in the front diff?
What about speedo recalibration?
