Heater Core Problems

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum but has anyone had problems with their heater core burning up? My truck is in the shop for the 6th time in less than a year getting its seventh heater core. At the first couple of times the dealership thought it was a bad part or bad installation job. The last time they said it had to do with the new "all synthetic" fluids being used by Ford now and was producing a bad reaction with the electrical system. The electrolytes in the fluids were causing a bad charge with the electrical system and this was burning up the heater core. Something to this effect. They grounded the engine or part but this didn't work so their researching it with Ford again. Anybody have this problem??? Right now I am driving a lean, mean 4 door Ford Focus that could smoke anybody's truck on this site....oh God I miss my truck.
