gear ratios

i have a 98, 4.2L, 5-speed, reg. cab, flareside, 4 X 2. how can i tell if it has 3.08's or 3.55's?

look on your rear axle cover plate there will be one or two tags, one of them, pass. side for me will give you fliud recomendation then it will give you your ratio will look like 95 175 3.55
